In 2016, William Reid became the owner of House of Cards, where customers old and new can build community around the games we all know and love. His goal in taking ownership was to see the gaming community continue to thrive under the leadership of someone who already knew and cared about it. Since 2016, House of Cards has continued to hold its place as one of the premier locations to play in the Triad area. William has cultivated a wonderful staff consisting of General Manager, Tara Penland, Retail Specialist/MTG Judge, Michael G. Newsome II, Retail Specialists, Evan Taylor and Ed Cyr. Ed is also our certified Pokemon Professor. The business has also been fortunate to see several volunteers who love House of Cards and are willing to offer their time to see our store be successful. In April 2023, Robin Reid, William and Tara's dad, took over the business to continue to grow the community that William and his staff have built.

We sell and consider for trade: Pokemon, Magic The Gathering, Lorcana, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Flesh and Blood, Final Fantasy, Alpha Clash, and Star Wars Unlimited. Tabletop strategy games include Warhammer, Star Wars, and Marvel. We have RPGs (role-playing games) like D&D (Dungeons & Dragons) and Pathfinder. In addition, we have assorted board games and board game systems such as Catan and Ticket to Ride, and other tools to fuel your hobbies. If there is a product we don't currently carry, contact us and we will research its availability for you. The store hosts play spaces that are free to use, an extensive game library for rentals, and shop organized events. Our premier event is our Annual Mental Health Awareness Charity Tournament. This tournament's purpose is to raise awareness and funds for those who struggle with mental illness, anxiety, and depression. It is held annually on the last Saturday in July. 07/27/24 will be our 9th Annual event.
